Thomas Habiger MD

Dr. Habiger earned his medical degree, completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis.  He began practice in North Dakota but later relocated to Missouri, working in a general neurology practice as well as serving as the director of stroke, memory disorder and movement disorder programs that included research.

Board certified in neurology, Dr. Habiger has cared for patients in the West Valley since 2008 and joined Thunderbird Internal Medicine in June of 2016.
A committed student of the field of neurology, he is constantly educating himself on new treatments, diagnosis modalities and research. Dr. Habiger believes that evaluating and treating conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease requires an understanding of the needs of the entire family rather than just the patient. He performs electromyograms (EMG) and nerve conduction studies on-site.
Raised on a farm in a small town in northern Minnesota, Dr. Habiger follows the Vikings, is an avid reader and enjoys hiking.
“Information in the neurosciences is rapidly expanding. I am completely dedicated to my patients and feel strongly that I need to do my best to continue my education every day in order to give the best, most current treatment to everyone in my care.”
