Ethiopia Gebeyehu M.D.
As you may have guessed, I am an Ethiopian
native. In 1974, my family traveled to the United States and
settled in Madison, Wisconsin, later moving to Columbia, Missouri.
After finishing medical school in Kansas City, I relocated to
Phoenix, in order to complete my internal medicine residency
training.
During the first nine years of my medical career, I served
as a clinical faculty physician for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at
Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. My responsibilities were divided between
caring for my patients in an outpatient practice and training medical students
and residents.
Although I enjoyed academic medicine, I discovered clinical
practice to be more fulfilling. Clinical practice provides me the opportunity
to develop meaningful relationships with my patients, while assisting them in
making important health decisions.
I am honored to be a part of Thunderbird Internal Medicine
– an innovative practice with a strong commitment to providing outstanding
patient care.
Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, reading and
spending time with my family and friends. In addition, I am actively involved
in community outreach activities. Over the years, I have enjoyed serving on
short-term medical teams in Baja, Mexico.
