Karen
Wetherell M.D.
I was born in Canada but grew up in the United States. I
have been in Arizona since 1984 and I can truly say that I am hooked on living
in the Southwest. I attended the University of Arizona for my
undergraduate degree, received my Medical Degree at the University of Arizona
College of Medicine, and completed my residency at (you guessed it) the
University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. By now you have probably surmised
that I am a "Wildcat" at heart. (Please, no harassment from you
"Sun Devil" fans!) Most recently, my husband and I returned to
the "Valley" to be closer to our families.
I am excited to be a part of Thunderbird Internal
Medicine. As an Internist, I value establishing long-term relationships
with my patients. This allows me to better understand and assess my
patients' health care needs and often creates an environment in which we are
more likely to share a laugh.
Finally, I am married to my best friend and soul mate; I place a
priority on keeping physically fit ; and I enjoy outdoor activities and spending
time with my family.
