Debora McClary M.D..
I completed medical school in 1994 at
the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. I did
my residency in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in
Minnesota, completing my training in 1999. In 2000, I
completed my fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in
Minnesota, one of the top colon and rectal surgery programs
in the United States. I am boarded in both General Surgery
and Colon and Rectal Surgery. After completing my training,
I moved to Bellingham, Washington and joined a
multispecialty medical group. There I met and married my
husband, Joey, and we had our daughter Rebecca. Our joined
family included 2 dogs and 3 cats. In January 2008 we
decided to relocate to Phoenix to be closer to my in-laws as
they were getting older and needed family nearby. This also
let our daughter get to know Grandma and Grandpa better. I
like to spend my spare time with my husband and daughter.
We share a love of cars and science fiction. I am also a
techno-geek and love all things electronic – especially my
iphone. I recently completed the restoration of a 1968
Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and love zipping around in it, maybe
you’ll see me on the road.
It is so important to get your
checkup for colon cancer, I am pleased to assist you
with your procedure. I am proud to be part of
Thunderbird Internal Medicine and their excellent
preventative medicine program. I am a
board-certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon, a surgeon
who specializes in treating diseases of the colon.
In addition to doing colonoscopies, I perform
minimally invasive surgery for colon problems such
as diverticulitis and colon cancer and perform anal
surgeries for hemorrhoids, fissures and other anal
abnormalities.
