Doan M.D.
I was born in Southern Vietnam and came to the USA in 1979 with my family.
I spent part of my childhood in Dayton, Ohio and eventually moving to Winfield,
a very small town in Kansas. After a few years there, our family moved
again to Wichita , Kansas and finally settled there. Life in Kansas was
nice and peaceful. I did my undergraduate at Wichita State University and went
to medical school at University of Kansas. After graduation, I decided to
be more adventurous (also to seek warmer climate!) and moved to Phoenix to do my
residency at Good Samaritan Medical Center. I have enjoyed living in
Phoenix and have made wonderful friends so I have decided to stay and set up
practice here.
My goal in medicine is to develop a long and lasting relationship with my
patients which can be very challenging in the ever changing world of managed
care. I treat each patient as an individual and am a good listener. I am
a big believer that preventive care is the best medicine and try to emphasize
this aspect in my practice.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, tennis, camping and painting.
